About The Position

The Vice President of Software Engineering at Broadridge is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that meet both short- and long-term business needs. This role involves managing a diverse team of professionals, overseeing software development projects, and ensuring the successful execution of IT strategies that enhance operational efficiency and client experience. The VP will collaborate with business executives and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives, while fostering a culture of empowerment and accountability within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master's Degree desirable.
  • 10+ years in a leadership role, including experience leading a multi-layered enterprise technology team.
  • 15+ years of relevant IT experience within financial, investment, and/or fin-tech institutions.
  • Significant experience partnering with Executive business leaders to drive projects to completion.
  • Deep understanding of applications functional and non-functional requirements, including cloud-based applications and APIs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with migrating legacy applications to a new cloud structure, particularly with AWS Cloud Technology.
  • Extraordinary communication, written, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, adapt, and implement technology solutions through new and existing applications and systems architecture.
  • Review system requirements and business processes; code, test, debug, document, and implement software solutions.
  • Provide application software development services in defined projects and ensure successful implementation of system improvements.
  • Collaborate with business executives and senior leaders to lead a staff of professionals across multiple locations.
  • Determine necessary technology, infrastructure, and architecture to support business objectives and improve efficiencies.
  • Deliver a combined business and IT roadmap to support business and IT strategy.
  • Oversee team resource management and support the formulation of enterprise IT policies and performance management processes.
  • Manage strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers to ensure systems performance and service-level requirements are met.
  • Integrate disparate development teams into a cohesive, standards-based development organization.
  • Develop the technology plan in support of key business objectives and external trends.
  • Plan and execute development projects, ensuring teams have appropriate resources to deliver on time.
  • Act as an agent of change by deploying transformational IT capabilities and cultivating Agile methodologies across the organization.
