Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial attitude with good communication skills and a “roll-up your sleeves” mentality
  • 5+ years’ experience in a financial institution, accounting firm, or management consulting firm
  • Ability to grasp the broad range of trust administration and the operational / compliance requirements of a directed trust company
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve problems, and make progress under limited direction.
  • Client relationship management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Management experience with direct reports or junior team members a plus

Responsibilities

  • Attend and network at financial, legal and estate planning industry events
  • Coordinate investment and distribution activities – interact with families and their trusted advisors to implement investment strategies and manage cash flow
  • Assist with new account on-boarding and set-up.
  • Coordinate all facets of trust administration -- cash management, tax planning and investment policy implementation.
  • Participate in internal & external training programs to understand, and improve upon, the unique elements of our directed trust business.
  • Coordinate directions from investment / discretionary distribution advisors.
  • Oversee compliance and tax filing procedures
  • Coordinate new investment set-up / asset additions
