About The Position

About this role SpiderRock Advisors, LLC (“SRA”), a wholly owned division of BlackRock, headquartered in Chicago, IL, is a rapidly growing technology-enabled provider of portfolio enhancement solutions to the wealth management and institutional allocator segments of the ~ $80 trillion global asset management industry. SRA specializes in the design and implementation of highly customized option and option overlay strategies, for wealth management and institutional clients . SRA is seeking to hire a n Option Strategist for the Boston market (and open to talent in our other locations; Atlanta, San Fran and New York) . The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in option-based and advanced derivative strategies, a proven track record in sales, and an extensive understanding of capital markets, typically demonstrated by 10+ years of experience in the asset management or capital markets business . This role is designed for individuals who can drive strategic growt h and cultivate high-value relationships with key distribution partners across wealth management channels ( wirehouses and RIAs). Responsibilities include raising assets for SRA strategies within designated client and prospective client firms by providing advanced education and communicating complex strategies to their client base. The Option Strategist will be expected to demonstrate exceptional flexibility, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail, while also leading initiatives that enhance SRA’s market presence and client engagement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in asset management, with a strong record covering private wealth channels ( wirehouses and/or RIAs)
  • CFA, CAIA, or MBA
  • In-market and virtual meetings represent the majority of time spent.

Responsibilities

  • Raising assets for SRA strategies within designated client and prospective client firms by providing advanced education and communicating complex strategies to their client base
  • Originate and convey sophisticated concepts, deliver accurate product information, and gather strategic marketing data through high-level discussions with targeted financial advisors
  • Document and analyze key business development information in CRM systems to support strategic relationship management and follow-up activities
  • Develop and oversee daily Sales Plans, making high-impact business decisions for workload prioritization and team management
  • Lead and support strategic marketing initiatives at both corporate and departmental levels, collaborating closely with executive leadership to drive organizational growth
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members , fostering professional development and elevating overall team performance
