About The Position
As a Vice President, Scrum Leader II at BNY Mellon, you will play a pivotal role in our Agile Delivery Practice team, located in either Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL, in a hybrid work environment. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who is passionate about Agile methodologies and has a strong background in leading Scrum teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that Scrum principles and practices are adhered to, facilitating Scrum team events to ensure they are productive and time-efficient. You will be instrumental in removing impediments that teams encounter, tracking and resolving dependencies, and ensuring that teams are effective in their use of Scrum. This role requires you to enable programs to meet their expected outcomes by supporting teams in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision-making processes. In this leadership position, you will guide teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, focusing on creating increments of value for each iteration while achieving daily and iteration goals aligned with current program objectives. You will leverage your advanced competencies in Agile leadership, business process improvement, and cross-functional team leadership to foster an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement. Your expertise in various Agile approaches, including Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban, will be essential in driving the success of our initiatives. You will also be expected to mentor and coach team members, promoting a culture of servant leadership and effective communication. To thrive in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 6-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Previous technical experience is preferred, particularly in a Scrum Master capacity for software development teams involved in large initiatives. Familiarity with Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing is crucial. Proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence will also be necessary to support your teams effectively.
