About The Position

The Vice President of Sales for the US Hemp B2B Channel at Wana Brands will play a pivotal role in the leadership team, tasked with the development and execution of a comprehensive commercial strategy for the launch of innovative hemp-derived THC beverages and edible products. This position demands a strategic thinker who possesses a profound understanding of consumer behavior, beverage B2B sales, distributor partner management, and the competitive landscape within the industry. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, utilizing market insights and data analytics to formulate and implement go-to-market plans aimed at maximizing revenue, market share, and brand equity. In this role, the VP Sales will be responsible for strategic planning and execution, which includes identifying market opportunities with key distributors and retail channels, and creating actionable plans to capture market share and drive growth. Collaboration with product development, marketing, sales, and operations teams is essential to ensure alignment and effective execution of the go-to-market strategy. The VP will conduct in-depth market research to understand consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and category performance, using data analytics to derive actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. The position also involves defining and overseeing the go-to-market plan, which encompasses pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies. The VP will develop and execute launch campaigns in close collaboration with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and impact. Establishing KPIs and metrics to measure the success of the launch and ongoing performance of the brand and distribution partners is a critical responsibility. Additionally, the VP will develop sales strategies and tools to support the sales team in achieving targets, create incentive programs to drive growth with distribution partners, and build strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and partners. Leadership and collaboration are key components of this role, as the VP will lead and inspire a cross-functional team to achieve strategic goals and deliver exceptional results. The position requires effective communication with senior leadership, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities. This role has direct supervisory responsibilities within the Sales department, including the authority to hire and fire employees, making it essential for the VP to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
