About The Position

H2O.ai is at a defining moment in the enterprise AI market. As organizations move from experimentation to production-scale predictive, generative, and agentic AI, the need for trusted, sovereign, enterprise-grade AI platforms has never been greater. We are hiring a VP of Sales Engineering for the Americas to lead the most strategic region for H2O.ai, driving technical win strategy across North America and LATAM, and shaping how enterprise AI is adopted at scale. This role is the technical backbone of our go-to-market engine and a key partner to the CRO, Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership. This position is based in Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or technical GTM leadership in AI/ML or enterprise software
  • 5+ years leading and scaling high-performing SE teams
  • Deep expertise in: Machine Learning, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, Spark)
  • Strong experience across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid/on-prem architectures
  • Proven success influencing C-level executives and winning complex enterprise deals
  • Ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes and ROI

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scaling SE teams in high-growth or transformation environments
  • Background in regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, Telco)
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms (H2O.ai, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Experience with value-based selling frameworks (MEDDPICC, Challenger, Force Management)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Americas SE Organization
  • Build, scale, and lead a high-performance Sales Engineering team across North America and LATAM
  • Establish a culture of technical excellence, urgency, and accountability
  • Design the operating model to support enterprise-scale deal velocity and complexity
  • Own the Technical Win Strategy for the Americas
  • Drive KPIs across the region: win rates, POV/POC conversion, deal cycle velocity, and expansion influence
  • Build repeatable frameworks for enterprise POVs tied to measurable business outcomes
  • Partner with Sales leadership on territory design, deal strategy, and pipeline quality
  • Be the Executive Technical Advisor
  • Engage directly with LOB’s, CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and AI leaders at Fortune 500 organizations
  • Translate AI capabilities into clear, quantified business impact
  • Lead the technical strategy for our largest and most complex deals
  • Architect Enterprise AI at Scale
  • Guide customers across: Data ingestion and pipelines ML and LLM development RAG and agentic workflows Production deployment and observability Support architectures across cloud, hybrid, and fully air-gapped environments

  • Shape Product and Market Direction
  • Act as the voice of the customer for the Americas
  • Influence Product and Engineering based on real-world enterprise needs
  • Ensure tight alignment between field execution and platform evolution

  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure adoption, expansion, and retention
  • Support strategic partnerships (NVIDIA, hyperscalers, GSIs) in regional GTM execution
