Overview We’re seeking a Vice President to lead our business unit growth strategy, delivering data-driven risk reduction solutions and advancing a national client service model through Gallagher’s Core 360 framework. This role partners with divisional and regional leadership to integrate national capabilities, strengthen carrier relationships, develop top Risk Control talent, and drive measurable results through analytics, innovation, and best‑in-class client solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience as a safety/risk/loss control consultant in the insurance broker or carrier environments, or as a safety technician/manager in private industry.
  • Proven ability to develop high performing employees and teams, while achieving desired results.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state safety codes and standards including OSHA, EPA, and/or DOT requirements.
  • Prior experience designing and implementing productivity and Risk Control & Safety Services improvements.
  • Strong communicator at all levels. Ability to travel and work beyond normally scheduled workweek as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management and the following certifications
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • 5+ years' experience leading a team preferred.
  • Role model for achieving performance standards and champion of Gallagher's shared values.
  • Balances the unique needs of our clients while maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrates a breadth and depth of operational service delivery management expertise focused on service quality, people, process and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the business unit's growth strategy with focus on data driven risk reduction solutions to advance a national client service model.
  • Partners with Divisional, Regional and Branch leadership to deliver products and services through Gallagher's Core 360 service model to reduce customer loss, improve profitability and differentiate AJG in the marketplace.
  • Primarily focused on integration of national model advancing new business and client relationships, leveraging geographic footprint, and providing industry expertise with analytics to drive business results.
  • Establishes alignment with division, niche and leadership staffing, financial and operating models, facilitating resource deployment for growth, retention and client solutions. Key responsibilities further include: Establishing defined service offerings; Building carrier partnerships and providing pathway for risk control staff to deliver the most appropriate level of service for our Clients; and Proactively monitoring and measurement of teams performance against established service levels, processes, procedures, etc. Identifies, facilitates, leads, and/or participates in projects to continually improve services, which includes projects and initiatives with a National and Global scope; drives National best practices.
  • Maintains senior relationships to assist in solving client needs and issues to make our Clients as attractive as possible to Carriers.
  • Provides direct leadership to the Risk Control Talent, which includes all aspects of talent acquisition, development, engagement, etc. Utilizes talent management strategies to meet or exceed operations goals and defined performance metrics.
