Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for Vice President, R&D Data Science & Digital Health - Neuroscience. This position has a primary location of Titusville, NJ but is also open to Springhouse, PA; New Brunswick, NJ; Cambridge, MA; San Diego, CA. This position will require up to 25% in travel. Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine develops treatments that improve the health of people worldwide. Research and development areas encompass oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, immunology, pulmonary hypertension, retinal disorders, and neuroscience. Our goal is to help people live longer, healthier lives. We have produced and marketed many first-in-class prescription medications and are poised to serve the broad needs of the healthcare market - from patients to practitioners and from clinics to hospitals.

  • Develop and implement a strategic Data Science vision for Neuroscience, addressing critical challenges in drug discovery and development.
  • Drive Data Science projects that deliver high-impact insights.
  • Communicate the value of Data Science to business stakeholders and work alongside development teams to identify and pursue innovative use cases.
  • Employ advanced analytical techniques, such as AI and Machine Learning, to harness genotypic, phenotypic, and multi-omic data for biological insights.
  • Utilize Real World Data and aggregated RCT data to enhance clinical development efforts.
  • Develop digital health biomarkers, optimize patient stratification and enrollment strategies, and facilitate synthetic control arms, particularly in rare and pediatric diseases.
  • Lead the adoption and scalability of Data Science within the Neuroscience TA by collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Establish high standards of excellence through professional expertise and people leadership.
  • Foster a data-driven culture and enhance the skills of a high-performing Data Science team focused on Neuroscience.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Data Science team to design use cases, develop algorithms and models using AI/Machine Learning, and ensure the interpretability of results for maximum impact.
  • Oversee data purchasing, ingestion, wrangling, platform development, and tool productionalization as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
