About The Position

Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking an accomplished physician executive to serve as Vice President, Quality & Medical Affairs. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this role is a senior physician leader who serves as the primary link between the hospital’s administration, its medical staff, and quality and safety initiatives. Responsibilities include overseeing operations of the medical staff structure, establishing and revising various medical policies, championing quality & patient safety initiatives, and planning and execution of projects/efforts related to aligning the medical center’s objectives with the delivery of clinical care. The role requires strong leadership to foster a collaborative environment and ensure high-quality patient care. The leader serving in the role leads change while inspiring commitment and dedication to quality throughout the organization. The role serves as the Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer and leads the organization to top decile performance nationally in quality and safety. Our successful candidate will maintain a partial FTE in clinical practice.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington
  • Certification by one of the Boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with completion of a medical residency in area of specialty
  • Minimum 5 years professional post-residency experience in direct patient care
  • Prior experience as a Chief Medical Officer or VP, Medical Affairs. (Significant leadership experience within Overlake Medical Center may substitute for prior CMO or VP, Medical Affairs experience.)
  • COVID-19 vaccination requirement: After October 18, 2021 all Washington state healthcare employees, contractors and volunteers will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization as a condition of employment.
