We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Quality Engineer to join the Liquidity and Financing team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who can combine strong technical automation skills with a good understanding of functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial
  • 4-8 years of experience in a systems quality environment required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cucumber BDD and Test NG, JUnit
  • Proficient in Java programming for test automation
  • Experience with Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEs
  • Proficient in GitLab, Bitbucket, and version control best practices
  • Experience in SQL, Oracle DB, and data validation techniques
  • Proficient in API test Automation, RestAssured API’s, Postman
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Knowledge of financial services or banking workflows is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, Playwright and Java Script
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating automated test suites
  • Carry out test planning, risk analysis and defect management across sprints
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems
  • Work with mainframe systems to validate end-to-end workflows in legacy banking platforms
  • Identify, document, and track defects and work with teams to resolve issues
  • Ensure Engineering Teams are adhering to all the Quality Controls in place
  • Validate the complete traceability to the Requirements
  • Collaborate with tech teams to integrate AI-driven testing tools into the software development lifecycle
  • Apply AI to optimize regression testing, and continuous integration pipelines
  • Work closely with offshore teams to coordinate test planning, execution, and defect management
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms
  • Help solve some of the most complex automation challenges that impact a lot of business areas
  • Constantly improve the efficiency of the Automation Tools and Processes
  • Support QE Initiatives involving working with Databases & ETL Systems & Associated Automation Technologies
  • Support QE Initiatives involving working with complex Messaging Queues & Associated Automation Technologies
  • Attend the required Product Backlog Grooming & Planning Meetings to contribute to the Creation of Effective User Stories
  • Come up with Comprehensive Regression Suites for Applications & Systems
  • Communicate the same to the QE Team and act as a Feeder to the Automation Engine
  • Solve Complex Automation Challenges spanning multiple technologies in a scalable & extensible manner with least amount of maintenance
  • Continuously improve the Efficiency of the Automation using innovative technologies & thought process in specific QE Domain Areas
  • Promote and Implement the Shift Left Testing Approach in close collaboration with the Application Development Teams
  • Help resolve issues detected during testing
  • Provide QE support to Development, Business and Test teams on internal and external issues
  • Help with getting down to the Root Cause of the Issues and work with the Engineering Teams to resolve and Validate the Fixes
  • Ensure Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery are enabled for the Apps Automated
  • Contribute to the achievement of area objectives
  • Play a key role in training and bridging the specific skill gaps across the Quality Engineering Domain
