About The Position

The Vice President (Project Management) at BNP Paribas will serve as a Senior Project Manager within the DRIVE New Business Solutions team, focusing on supporting various committees and operational reviews for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Information Technology Office (ITO). The role involves collaboration across multiple departments to ensure effective project management and operational workflows, particularly in the context of new product implementations and trade structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field plus five years of experience as a Vice President (Project Management) or similar occupation, or a Master's degree in the same fields plus three years of experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing front-to-back trade flow processes, including trades capture and booking, Profit & Loss matters, valuation, confirmation/settlement, collateral management, reconciliation, and controls.
  • Experience leveraging knowledge of business requirements, process flows, procedures, and GAP analysis to manage projects within an international financial services organization.
  • Experience managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
  • Experience managing internal and external communications with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and contribute to Transaction Approval Committee (TAC), New Activity Committee (NAC), Post Implementation Reviews (PIR), and end-to-end operational studies.
  • Manage and spearhead assigned operational reviews for TAC, NAC, PIR Committees, and End-to-end (E2E) studies.
  • Collaborate with business management, TAC/NAC Functions members, and Compliance, Legal, Risks, Operations, IT, Tax, and Finance teams.
  • Assist in the design and review of new structures and exceptional trades, representing ITO and Arbitrage Finance during approval committees.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales, Structuring, and Trading teams to design new trade structures and operational workflows.
  • Analyze and identify impacts on various functional departments to propose optimal operational solutions and workflows.
  • Facilitate coordination with IT, Operations stakeholders, and other Functions partners for new product implementation.
  • Prepare and present summaries of assigned new products and activities, highlighting key deliverables and challenges.
  • Draft consolidated feedback and opinions for submission to OPC for TAC/NAC memos.
  • Provide synthetic feedback to the Chairmen of TAC/NAC Committees, highlighting sensitive aspects and key points of attention.
  • Analyze current procedures and propose changes to improve productivity, efficiency, and risk control.
  • Work closely with Operations and IT managers to measure the impact of new systems and processes on staff workload.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure system functionalities meet user requirements and propose procedural changes accordingly.
