Requirements

  • 3+ years extensive experience within Construction, Oil & Gas, Chemical & Petrochem business sector.
  • Technical Diploma/degree in construction or business management or related field required.
  • Industry Knowledge and minimum 5 years related project experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including Pivot Tables and Formulas.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Software knowledge: Prism, Procore, Primavera P6, Word, Power Point.
  • Proficiency and certifications in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Sharepoint, Aconex, and other software desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or similar certification.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for all project planning, budgeting, change management, cost control, cost estimating, reporting and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor financial performance and communicate potential impacts to project manager and senior management.
  • Ensure Change Management is adhered to by project team to quantify impact to schedule and cost.
  • Work with Project Manager to ensure alignment of the project forecast Estimate at Completion (EAC).
  • Maintain and update the project work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost breakdown structure (CBS).
  • Provide accurate internal weekly and monthly project reports and interface with management.
  • Represent projects in Monthly Project Status Reviews for PC, Scheduling and Risk.
  • Prepare client monthly invoices.
  • Prepare cost reviews and participate in project review audits and workshops.
  • Analyze, trend and communicate progress information to project personnel.
  • Control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying invoices and claims.
  • Evaluate project contracts and ensure project controls processes are aligned.
  • Understand contractual language and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Communicate with engineering, construction and procurement to coordinate project activities.
  • Mentor project controls/scheduling specialists.
  • Hold project team accountable for progress commitments.
  • Develop, report and monitor Project Risk Registers and analysis for both schedule and cost.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to potential impacts to scope, cost and schedule.
  • Provide project planning input into proposals and bids.
  • Conduct training procedure classes for management, stakeholders and co-workers as needed.
