The Vice President of Product Marketing will guide and scale differentiated positioning and messaging that expands Neo4j’s business and strengthens its market leadership. As the company’s senior product marketing strategist and a key spokesperson, this role spans product and solution marketing, technology and AI platform marketing, competitive intelligence, and the development of clear messaging that enables PR, awareness, demand, and sales teams. Reporting directly to the President of Technology & Chief Product Officer, this highly independent leader will guide strategy, scale the Product Marketing function with minimal supervision, and partner closely with executive leadership. The VP will own product positioning and messaging, equip partner teams with high-impact content and subject-matter expertise, and ensure consistent, market-shaping narratives across launches, campaigns, and sales materials—bringing deep product curiosity, strong leadership, and a proven track record in technology-led companies.

  • Be intellectually curious while understanding how our product functions and can come to a point-of-view on how to get the best message across
  • Promote a deep understanding of our users and customers, and help evangelize that understanding with leadership and partner teams
  • Define business goals, audiences, buyer’s journey, strategy, solutions, positioning, messaging, key tactics, budget, and dependencies, and then drive cross-functional consensus and enlistment to deliver business results.
  • Develop and own the critical user journeys across various market segments and personas
  • Partner with enablement to empower our sales and customer success team with playbooks, customer stories, competitive positioning and a strong feedback loop between sales and product.
  • Support Analyst, PR, awareness and demand initiatives with content, materials, and strategic messaging.
  • Nurture a strong team of product marketers who are strategic leaders and execution machines, and who can act as organizational drivers.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field including engineering, computer science, mathematics or another relevant area of study
  • 10 + years of product marketing or product management leadership experience. Experience in data infrastructure, data platforms and/or databases is highly desirable.
  • Ability to define and drive strategy as a partner with senior stakeholders
  • Technical acumen and demonstrated ability to understand complex products and functionality
  • Strong performance marketing experience within a hyper growth technology company
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Proven competence in project management, experience with reporting, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
