About The Position

As Vice President, Partnership Strategy, you will provide senior leadership across partnership strategy engagements, helping define how brands leverage partnerships to drive meaningful business and brand outcomes. You’ll oversee and elevate strategic thinking across multiple clients and accounts, while shaping Momentum’s point of view on partnerships, consumer behavior, and experiential ecosystems. You’ll serve as a senior strategic partner to clients, a key collaborator to Creative and Business Leadership, and a steward of strategic excellence across the agency. This role blends thought leadership, client leadership, team development, and business growth, with accountability for the quality, effectiveness, and impact of partnership strategies delivered by the agency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, partnership, experiential, or marketing strategy within an agency or consulting environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (advanced degree a plus)
  • Proven ability to operate as a senior strategic leader and trusted client advisor
  • Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and executive-level communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, mentoring talent, and building high-performing strategy groups
  • Strong background working with brands and marketing teams that have established partnership portfolios
  • Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research, with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Strong business acumen and experience influencing client decision-making
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing disciplines and partnership ecosystems
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity, complexity, and growth

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior strategic lead for clients, guiding partnership strategy in support of long-term business and brand goals
  • Lead the development of integrated partnership strategies across complex portfolios and multi-year engagements
  • Ensure all partnerships have a clearly defined strategic role, purpose, and measurement framework
  • Partner with clients to define objectives, KPIs, success metrics, and optimization approaches
  • Confidently lead high-level strategic discussions with senior client stakeholders
  • Act as a strategic partner to Creative leadership, shaping and elevating ideas to ensure cultural relevance, strategic rigor, and business impact
  • Collaborate across Sponsorship Consulting, Experiential, Business Leadership, and other disciplines to ensure strategic alignment across touchpoints
  • Champion bold, insight-led thinking while maintaining strategic clarity and focus
  • Play a leading role in defining and evolving Momentum’s partnership strategy POV, frameworks, and methodologies
  • Drive consistency and excellence in how partnership strategy is developed, articulated, and delivered across the agency
  • Identify emerging trends in culture, sports, retail, and consumer behavior to inform future-facing strategy
  • Contribute to the growth and positioning of the Partnerships Strategy practice
  • Lead, mentor, and develop strategy talent across levels, fostering strong strategic thinking and storytelling skills
  • Provide oversight, feedback, and direction to ensure high-quality outputs across teams
  • Play an active role in hiring, resourcing, and team growth
  • Partner with Business Leadership on identifying, shaping, and pursuing new client opportunities
  • Lead or significantly contribute to new business pitches, presentations, and strategic narratives
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through strategic insight and innovation
  • Support and embody Momentum’s values
