About The Position

The VP of Operations oversees the successful performance of a portfolio of licensed assisted living communities by promoting our mission, vision, and values. This role ensures excellent resident care and services, develops and supports team members, drives financial performance, and fosters a positive community culture. Extensive travel with some overnight stays is required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior living or regional operations leadership experience
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong financial, leadership, and team development skills
  • Servant-leadership style with a passion for working with seniors
  • Knowledge of dementia/Alzheimer’s care preferred
  • Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic accounting knowledge required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality resident care, services, and regulatory compliance
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Executive Directors
  • Oversee staffing, retention, and training to build strong teams
  • Drive census growth, sales performance, and community engagement
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and financial plans
  • Monitor and analyze key financial and operational reports
  • Collaborate across disciplines to address challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead with integrity, accountability, and commitment to Spring Arbor values
