Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK) is seeking a strategic, innovative and results-oriented Vice President, Supply Chain for Seasonal & Specialty Distribution to provide the global leadership and strategy for all manufacturing operations and new product introduction objectives across a 2.1B portfolio in our Tools & Outdoor business. This leader will be responsible for achieving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and new product introduction objectives all while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence through our Stanley Performance Excellence (SPX) operating system. The Seasonal & Specialty Distribution (SSD) portfolio includes our Outdoor business (Cub Cadet, Hustler, Troy-Bilt, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY and DEWALT) as well as the Specialty Tools & Storage Solutions portfolio – brands that are distributed through non-standard Stanley Black & Decker channels (CribMaster, Vidmar, LISTA, PROTO and Mac Tools). The successful candidate will drive a lean-led, tech enabled approach across a network of 10 plants and distribution centers and 4,500 employees throughout North America. This role is pivotal in aligning site operations and new product launches to regional market needs while also upholding global standards. Stanley Black & Decker requires a dynamic leader who can inspire plant management teams, collaborate cross-functionally, work effectively with business leaders, and support business growth and customer satisfaction in alignment with our global standards and values. This position will report to the VP of Supply Chain for Tools & Outdoor and Stanley Engineered Fastening Operations and is expected to tightly align with the business President and leadership team while integrating closely with enterprise resources and programs. The ideal location for this position is Towson, Maryland, Valley City, Ohio or Charlotte, North Carolina though remote locations will be considered.

  • Develop and execute manufacturing and new product introduction strategies for Seasonal & Specialty Distribution in alignment with SBD’s regional and global objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant managers and manufacturing teams to build a high-performing, engaged organization.
  • Act as the primary voice of manufacturing and new product introduction within the region and represent the function in both regional and global leadership meetings and projects.
  • Champion change management initiatives and support organizational transformation.
  • Oversee operations of 10 manufacturing sites, ensuring consistent application of SBD best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage regional manufacturing and new product introduction budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures to achieve financial targets.
  • Deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost, and new product introduction objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Lead the operational readiness and successful launch of new products, ensuring smooth ramp-up, manufacturability, and efficient integration into existing processes.
  • Drive operational excellence through SPX.
  • Act as a visible sponsor of operational excellence, embedding a culture of problem-solving, waste elimination, and innovation.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and automation to enhance efficiency, quality, competitiveness, and new product introduction processes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Quality, EHS, and other departments to optimize processes, support new product introductions, and resolve operational challenges.
  • Engage proactively with commercial teams to ensure site responsiveness to local market requirements and new product launches.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and Stanley Black & Decker policies across all sites.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the region, in line with SBD’s core values.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, or new product introduction management, with significant responsibility; large site, multi-site, or regional management experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, new product introduction, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with budget management and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing and new product introduction management systems and digital tools.
  • Ability to travel frequently within North America.
  • High level of personal integrity, ethics, and interpersonal skills; a confident and effective communicator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
