About The Position

The Vice President of Service Lines at Mercy Health is a leadership role focused on driving service line growth and program development within the Greater Cincinnati market. This position is responsible for orchestrating strategic initiatives to enhance the volume and quality of healthcare services, managing resources effectively, and fostering partnerships to develop new service lines. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement service line strategies that ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 10 years of business experience in a healthcare-related field
  • Experience in financial management, including budget preparation and cash flow management.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase revenue through program development and business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Group and Market Strategy Leaders to design and implement service line strategy.
  • Conduct business and financial analyses on service line products and services, including financial forecasts and volume projections.
  • Work with operational leaders to execute service line strategies for improved patient care access.
  • Develop and implement a physician alignment strategy for service lines.
  • Identify needs of physician leaders and create plans for innovation and satisfaction.
  • Manage a balanced scorecard to measure success of service line business plans.
  • Lead efforts to achieve accreditations and center of excellence designations.
  • Research and advance innovation of products and procedures for growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement strategies for service line priorities.
  • Evaluate resources and develop action plans to maximize cost effectiveness and utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and ethical directives in healthcare delivery.
  • Develop and maintain departmental budgets and revenue streams.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within the organization.
