About The Position

The Vice President of Sales at CareHawk is a high-impact executive role responsible for driving sales growth within a national distribution organization. This position involves developing and executing go-to-market strategies, managing sales teams, and enhancing the distributor network to meet growth targets across various product lines. The VP of Sales will lead both US and Canadian Business Development and Regional Sales Managers, ensuring effective sales processes and collaboration with marketing teams to optimize performance and revenue.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a technical or business focus required and an MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience of success and sustained growth in a distributor and channel sales management environment.
  • 10+ years' experience selling in a complex distributor channel is preferred.
  • Experience in managing complex direct and indirect sales cycles.
  • Experience with building, developing and growing channel life cycles.
  • Experience in Life Safety Communications or a related technology industry desired but not required.
  • Experience using CRM Tools, such as: SalesForce, Hubspot or Zoho.

Responsibilities

  • Overall leadership and management of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Business Development Teams, including resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Establish sales quotas and sales activity expectations for both individuals and at the business unit level.
  • Maximize sales revenue by directing RSMs and engaging directly with end users.
  • Create and implement programs to drive Business Development Managers' activity.
  • Maximize revenue via all Distribution channels in the Educational, Healthcare and Correctional vertical markets.
  • Analyze forecasts and sales performance data and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Manage an effective formal sales process from lead generation to deal close and provide reporting and tracking expectations of relevant activity levels.
  • Develop and implement the overall Distribution strategy for the field and company.
  • Be the 'Point Person' for the company with customers and distributors.
  • Provide feedback through the CEO to the manufacturer communicating market opportunities and desired product features.
  • Recommend pricing strategy for the distribution channel to meet both revenue and profit objectives.
  • Conduct meetings with top revenue producing distributors on a scheduled basis and as business needs dictate.
  • Collaborate with RSMs to engage partners that bring value to our current customers, identify incremental customer opportunities, and assist in current sales pursuits where directed by the customer.
  • Lead co-selling efforts with partners to close sales opportunities and interact with direct sales on the Partner engagement model.
  • Conduct recurring one-on-one sales coaching meetings with RSMs & Schedule and perform regular RSM ride-alongs in their territories to provide feedback concerning both customer and Distributor interactions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in developing a channel marketing program, including enhanced partner website portal, partner product certification and training, etc.
  • Ensuring the proper use of CRM databases and tools to track performance.
