The Vice President of Sales leads Cake’s sales strategy and is accountable for driving national production growth and revenue expansion. This executive will build, develop, and oversee a high-performing sales organization while expanding market share across wholesale and correspondent channels. The ideal candidate possesses deep Non-QM product expertise, strong industry relationships, and a demonstrated ability to grow production while maintaining operational and credit integrity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of mortgage lending experience.
  • 4+ years leading sales teams at a senior level.
  • Deep knowledge of Non-QM products and alternative programs REQUIRED.
  • Direct experience growing Non-QM production in wholesale and/or correspondent channels.
  • A proven track record of hitting (and exceeding) volume and revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and scale teams.
  • Solid understanding of pricing, credit risk, and secondary market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the overall performance of Account Executives.
  • Build, coach, and scale a high-performing sales team focused on production and profitability
  • Set clear production goals and hold the team accountable to results.
  • Drive new broker relationships while strengthening existing partnerships.
  • Identify client needs and position the right products within company guidelines.
  • Stay current on industry trends, investor guidelines, and market shifts.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution from pricing to funding.
  • Develop sales strategies, track performance metrics, and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Maintain strong communication with leadership on broker performance and growth opportunities.
  • Deliver a high level of service and responsiveness to brokers and lending partners.
  • Represent Cake at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand brand presence and strengthen strategic relationships.
