About The Position

Position Summary: The V. P. of Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategies that lead to the growth of sales and profits within the Airfoils Division. The role is to ensure compliance within the Long-Term Agreements (LTA’s) as well as maximizing growth and profit opportunities within the LTA’s. VP will have dotted line ownership of all plant sales teams and will be responsible for aligning teams to contract adherence, growth, profit and sales forecasts. Negotiates contracts and changes with customers and works closely with Sister Divisions, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve customer requirements while maximizing sales/profit opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering new ideas, managing technical projects with financial responsibility.
  • Effective in communicating with all levels of the organization and proven leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing customer and vendor relationships for the betterment of the business.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial and quantitative analysis techniques and management accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Strong program management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in aerospace sales and manufacturing.
  • Investment casting knowledge and jet engine customer exposure is required.
  • Demonstrated skills in communications, administration, sales, negotiations, and customer and executive presentations.
  • Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes strategic initiatives to grow the sales of the Operation.
  • Develops sales budget and forward growth plan.
  • Supports outside sales activities and maintain extensive interaction with customers.
  • Identify new product/process opportunities and develop pricing strategies to secure new business with maximum profit.
  • Negotiate contracts regarding price, delivery, specifications, and design to provide plant with maximum profit.
  • Review all repeat business for desirability to program and profit opportunity.
  • Review all engineering changes and tool reworks with plant to maximize profit opportunity.
  • Provide market information to accurately forecast new and repeat business for short- and long-range planning including competitive information to develop and/or change current pricing strategies.
  • Interface with Sister Divisions, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Contract administration personnel to coordinate PCC customer interface and ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Develop and communicates the sales and operations plans for the Operation with roll-ups for the month, quarter & year.
  • Effectively control and maintain inventories as required by manufacturing and minimize excess inventories.
  • Resolve customer service issues and coordinate the efforts with production control, manufacturing, engineering, quality and the customer in assuring on-time delivery of product.
