About The Position

Milestone Equipment Holdings is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing transportation equipment leasing and rental providers. Milestone boasts a national network of 70+ locations, with over 100,000 trailers, chassis, and containers. The Vice President of Sales (National Accounts) will be responsible for general management for the US, including sales and management oversight, reporting, performance and development of Team Members to achieve optimum performance. The person in this position must have in-depth experience in corporate finance and banking, transportation equipment, renting and leasing, financial statements and people management skills focused at the executive suite within large National Accounts.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years progressively responsible experience leading the strategy and execution of company-wide sales initiatives or business development.
  • 5+ years’ experience growing, managing, and scaling sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding track record of meeting and/or exceeding revenue growth goals.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel.
  • Flexible to work in an interactive environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and change.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the CCO, develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth, generate revenue, and achieve company objectives at large sophisticated National Accounts.
  • Leads large, dynamic sales team including attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Provides leadership to the sales team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and high-performance.
  • Develops and implements annual business plans and manages to monthly, quarterly, and annual expense and revenue budgets.
  • Establishes clear sales metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and maintaining focus.
  • Maintain/adjusts account assignments and territories to drive company goals and reward performance.
  • Connect with key national customers and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Drives new customer lease and structured transactions at fleets above 500 assets.
  • Hire and manage National Account Managers within the US Region.
  • Analyzes, reviews monthly, weekly and other reports for the assigned Sales personnel within the assigned area to ensure they are meeting/exceeding plan and provide direction and guidance for correction.
  • Approves rental and lease pricing, and customer credits, in accordance with assigned authority levels provided by the CCO.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
