About The Position

The current property portfolio includes eight full-service luxury hotels and resorts and one extended-stay property, all located in Alabama. We are seeking a strategic and inspiring Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial performance of our portfolio. This role will guide the strategy, structure, and success of our sales, revenue, and marketing efforts while developing high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results. This is a role for a strategic sales executive—someone who understands the business of hotels, the art of hospitality, and how to translate strategy into revenue growth across a diverse portfolio of Marriott-branded and independent destinations. Please Note: This role will be based in the PCH corporate office located in downtown Mobile, AL. Regular travel across the portfolio is expected. You will have the opportunity to influence strategy across an exceptional portfolio of hotels and resorts while working alongside passionate hospitality professionals who believe in creating meaningful experiences for guests and associates alike.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in hotel sales leadership, including deep background in complex group, convention, and resort sales and revenue management.
  • Proven success overseeing sales performance across multiple properties within a hotel management company or brand portfolio.
  • Strong familiarity with Marriott systems and brand standards, including working knowledge of tools such as One Yield.
  • Experience leading digital marketing and demand generation strategies within hospitality.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply STR data and competitive market analytics to guide strategy.
  • Strong business acumen and working proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, and commercial reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams, collaborate with executives, and develop future leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Leading portfolio sales strategy
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that grow market share, drive group and transient revenue, and delivering portfolio-wide revenue growth.
  • Guiding high-performing sales teams
  • Lead, mentor, and support Directors of Sales and property sales teams across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
  • Driving revenue performance
  • Partner closely with property leadership and revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies, forecast demand, and maximize portfolio-wide RevPAR and market share performance. Collaborate with corporate and property leaders to monitor overall revenue results, identify opportunities, and guide strategic decisions that support sustainable growth across the portfolio.
  • Advancing marketing strategy
  • Oversee marketing initiatives with a strong emphasis on digital marketing, demand generation, and brand positioning to ensure our properties stand out in competitive markets.
  • Using data to inform strategy
  • Leverage market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and performance analytics to guide decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Building key relationships
  • Cultivate relationships with major accounts, brand partners, and industry stakeholders while supporting properties in securing high-value group and corporate business. Represent PCH Hotels & Resorts through service on key industry boards, tourism organizations, and community partnerships that strengthen brand visibility and support business development across the portfolio.
