About The Position

The Vice President Rental & Leasing serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and holds full responsibility for operational performance and sales execution across the company specializing exclusively in refrigerated trailer rental and leasing. This role provides strategic direction, drives revenue growth, optimizes fleet utilization, and ensures operational excellence across all locations. The Vice President is accountable for aligning people, process, and performance to achieve profitability targets while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in rental, leasing, transportation, logistics, or related industry.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Demonstrated success overseeing both operations and sales functions.
  • Proven experience managing multi-location operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with direct P&L responsibility.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement operational efficiencies and scale business performance.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, coupled with a results-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in refrigerated trailer rental and leasing or transportation equipment rental preferred.
  • Experience in the Transportation Rental and Leasing industry or relevant field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Growth Develop and execute long-term strategic plans to drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion. Lead and oversee sales strategy, territory performance, pricing initiatives, and customer acquisition efforts. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to enhance market position and profitability.
  • Operational Oversight Direct all operational functions including fleet management, maintenance coordination, logistics, and compliance. Optimize fleet utilization and asset performance to maximize return on investment. Implement scalable systems, technology enhancements, and process improvements. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Financial Management Maintain full P&L responsibility for the region. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance plans. Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective action strategies as needed. Drive cost-control initiatives while preserving service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership & Talent Development Lead and develop a high-performing management team. Establish performance expectations, accountability standards, and measurable goals. Foster a culture of operational discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner with executive leadership to align regional performance with company objectives.
  • Customer & Industry Engagement Maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and strategic partners. Represent the company at industry events and business functions. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service across all locations.
