About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Provides strategic leadership for a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment of organizational goals, financial, and operational success. They oversee project management teams, establish best practices and policies, and manage high-level stakeholder communication. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Strategic Leadership: Develops, implements, and standardizes project management methodologies, tools, and best practices across the portfolio to improve execution. Portfolio Oversight & Governance: Oversees all active projects to ensure they are on schedule and within budget, managing project dependencies and risks. Financial & Resource Management: Manages budgets, resource allocation, and ensuring optimal use of company resources. Stakeholder Communication: Acts as the key liaison between project teams and senior leadership/sponsors, providing updates on progress, issues, and strategic impacts. Process Improvement: Evaluates, identifies, and implements improvements for project processes, including rescuing, re-scoping, or canceling at-risk projects .

Requirements

  • Generally 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership or management capacity
  • In addition to responsibilities of producing, purchasing, inventory control, production control, and engineering, as well as shipping, receiving and warehousing.
  • Sound administrative skills, well developed management skills-principles and people.
  • Strong strategic thinking, excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership capabilities.
  • Participative management type-advocates team concept.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Tactful, mature.
  • Ability to establish creditability and be decisive-but able to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities.
  • Satisfactory communication skills, written and verbal.
