About The Position

Frontier is seeking a strategic, people centered leader to serve as our Vice President of People Engagement. Located at our Lincoln, NE office, this executive level role partners directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape and sustain a high performance culture grounded in teamwork, accountability, employee development, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Proven executive-level HR leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience leading talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor management teams.
  • Experience overseeing payroll and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, LMS systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication skills in individual, small group, and large group settings.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all People Engagement services, policies, and programs in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to drive organizational development, workforce planning, and succession strategy.
  • Lead talent acquisition strategy and oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Direct Frontier University programs, leadership development curriculum, and employee training systems.
  • Oversee company-wide performance management processes, including annual evaluations, goal setting, and leadership coaching.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes, and external employment claims.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, Department of Labor regulations, and internal policy standards.
  • Provide oversight of payroll and benefits administration, including vendor review and selection, insurance program evaluation, and leadership of the annual open enrollment process.
  • Maintain accurate job classifications, conduct job audits, and update job descriptions as organizational needs evolve.
  • Lead H2A visa workforce programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational coordination, and employee support.
  • Lead the management of workers’ compensation claims and short- and long-term leave programs, ensuring efficient case resolution and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and develop the People Engagement team, fostering accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a high-performance culture that promotes teamwork, employee engagement, leadership growth, and exceptional service.
