Established in 1990, RP specializes in the multi-family builder and showroom markets, and has rapidly grown to serve light commercial construction, mixed-use, and national account markets. Founded in 1999 by industry veterans, Millennium Lighting Inc has become known for providing great decorative residential and commercial lighting for interior and exterior products. Our products are sold through Lighting Showrooms and Electrical Supply companies as well as many online premium retailers. Both brands are known for extraordinary service so join our team today Vice President of Operations The Vice President of Operations will set direction and guide continuous improvement in sales operations, facility management, technology, logistics, and all other areas of the locations for Millennium Lighting and RP Lighting. The Vice President of Operations will supervise day-to-day activities, ensure overall performance, manage schedules, and develop an operational action plan.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership / supervisory / management experience is required.
  • Proven experience in areas of Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality Control
  • Successful demonstration of technical and analytical abilities
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Great communication skills and the ability and desire to lead a team.
  • A working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
  • A willingness to learn and being able to go the extra mile is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and equivalent work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations and develops, implements, and reviews operational policies and procedures.
  • Assists their direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
  • Accountable for supporting and driving assigned Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for Millennium and RP Lighting
  • Manage multiple areas with multiple priorities and multiple collaborators every day.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team.
  • Understand the overarching company strategy and communicate the organization's core values to create a sense of collaboration and membership among employees.
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Perform quality controls and supervise production important metrics.
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service.
  • Ensure warehouse operation is managed with efficiency and success.
  • Oversight of inventory control in our warehouses
  • Develop objectives, policies, and procedures for sales operations.
  • Continuous Improvement of processes, systems, or products to enhance the performance of the job area leveraging IT.
  • Consult managers of operations associates around activities concerning hiring, training/development, and evaluation of staff performance
  • Supports sales forecasting, financial budgeting and expenditure management to achieve company budget objectives
  • Participate in NPD business case review, help develop metrics for product performance and measurement
  • Work with Procurement and Sourcing Teams to ensure inventory levels support sales initiatives
  • Lead and collaborate among various team leaders to support product pipeline and sales strategies
