About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Vice President of Operations to lead and transform our global operations. While this role carries global accountability, the immediate and primary focus will be on our Franklin, MA factory operations. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Dynisco's global operations — including supply chain, manufacturing, planning, quality, ESG, and logistics. The right leader will bring both strategic vision and tactical execution, with a proven ability to build processes and systems where they do not yet exist. This individual must be equally comfortable operating at the executive leadership level—setting direction, shaping strategy, and influencing across the business—while also engaging directly in the day-to-day details of factory operations. This position is on-site daily at our Franklin, MA facility (except when traveling for work). International travel is required, estimated at 3-6 weeks per year, to support our operations in Malaysia, Germany, and other global initiatives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including multi-site or global environments.
  • Proven success aligning operational strategies with business objectives and driving measurable results.
  • Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, 80/20 methodology, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong ability to partner effectively with Manufacturing Engineering to improve yields, capacity, and process stability.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) to enhance operational performance.
  • Direct experience with Infor SyteLine (CSI) is preferred.
  • Experience leading operational turnarounds, factory transformations, or restructuring initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute manufacturing transfers, outsourcing, or global footprint optimization.
  • Strong background in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics strategy.
  • Expertise in quality management systems (ISO, IATF, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with unionized labor preferred.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks and sustainability practices in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for manufacturing operations in Franklin, MA (primary) and Seri Manjung, Malaysia (secondary), with additional oversight of a small supply chain and logistics team in Heilbronn, Germany.
  • Ensure operational strategies align with overall business objectives and support growth, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering to optimize the end-to-end Order-to-Delivery process.
  • Lead transformation efforts at the Franklin facility focused on planning, scheduling, shop floor execution, productivity, and workforce engagement.
  • Design, implement, and institutionalize world-class operational processes and systems.
  • Drive measurable performance improvements centered on key operational and financial KPIs.
  • Improve transaction discipline and accuracy, including building a robust cycle counting process and annual physical inventory program to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy.
  • Personally lead deployment of Lean Manufacturing, 80/20 methodology, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Implement best practices that simplify operations, reduce variation, and improve process yields and throughput.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and other teams as needed to stabilize processes, address capacity needs, and support new technologies and products.
  • Lead operations' involvement in new product introduction, following the structured stage-gate process in partnership with Engineering.
  • Ensure manufacturability, operational readiness, and smooth transition from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Ensure ERP and supporting systems are configured and utilized to improve planning, scheduling, shop floor control, and decision-making.
  • Leverage digital tools to enhance operational visibility, data integrity, and efficiency.
  • Oversee global supply chain, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Develop and execute a global supply chain strategy that balances customer responsiveness with cost efficiency.
  • Drive strong inventory control practices and transactional accuracy through disciplined cycle counting and annual physical inventory processes.
  • Ensure a robust global quality management system that upholds customer, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Drive meaningful operational change in turnaround or high-complexity environments.
  • Instill new processes, accountability, and results-driven thinking throughout the organization.
  • Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing, inclusive team.

  • Ensure all operations meet company goals and compliance requirements.
