About The Position
The Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day warehouse operations of the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Managing the end-to-end supply chain that drives over 100 million lbs. of food to 700+ pantry partners annually. This role will require skilled and experienced leadership to identify and execute significant process improvements toward a blend of supply chain best practices balanced with the unique requirements of food bank operations. While building new processes for and connectivity within the leadership team, the VP of Operations and Supply Chain will be responsible for strategy, planning, and execution for warehouse operations, transportation, fleet management, inventory management, facilities management, equipment maintenance, and capital budgeting toward continuous improvement. This role will also drive strengthening metric tracking and application of data analytics for decision making.
