About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Human Resources located at our campus in Temecula, CA that will serve our campuses District-wide. The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible to the Superintendent/President for planning, organizing, directing, and leading a wide variety of human resources functions including but not limited to the following: human resources activities; faculty, staff and management recruitment and selection processes; diversity, equity and equal employment opportunity; staff development and professional development programs and services; initiation and implementation of personnel rules, policies and procedures; benefits administration; risk management and workers compensation, contract negotiations; employee relations; contract management; employee evaluation, documentation and disciplinary matters; and personnel-related statutory and regulatory compliance. The incumbent serves as a resource and advisor to executive administration and the Board on policy, legal requirements and impact of legislation on employees; and develops and presents policies in response to legislation and College needs. They provide leadership and supervision of Human Resources, Judicial Affairs Title IX, Campus Safety, and Liaison to Riverside County Sherriff's Office. This is an administrative position, exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, with responsibility for formulation and recommendation of district policies, regulations and budget decisions related to the area of responsibility. Initial placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience, along with a car and cell phone allowance stipends. This is a 12-month administrative position with day and evening assignments. Classified administrators serve under contract and make contributions toward PERS or STRS (a retirement plan). Benefit package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, sick leave, and 22 days of vacation per year. Administrators serve District-wide and may be assigned to the San Jacinto Campus, the Menifee Valley Campus, the Temecula Valley Campus, or any District facility.
