About The Position

The Vice President of Finance is a strategic executive leader responsible for overseeing the financial health, stability, and long-term growth of the organization. This role leads all financial functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, risk management, and compliance. As a key advisor to the CEO and executive team, the VP of Finance provides data-driven insights to guide business decisions, improve operational performance, and support organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting leadership roles
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management
  • Proven ability to influence executive decision-making through financial insight
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience building relationships across all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and oversight of all financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and regulatory filings
  • Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), treasury, and compliance functions
  • Analyze financial performance by comparing projections to actual results and recommend adjustments as needed
  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, business growth, and operational priorities
  • Evaluate financial and operational processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability
  • Monitor economic trends and assess their impact on company performance and growth opportunities
  • Identify and support expansion opportunities, including new products or markets
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies
  • Oversee capital strategy, including investment of funds and potential fundraising initiatives
  • Provide financial oversight and insight related to self-insured health plans
  • Lead and support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the CEO
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships to support business objectives and company growth
  • Ensure professionalism, accountability, and alignment with company values at all times
