And you’ll get to practice your passion in a non-profit, mission-driven organization that’s known for the highest level of care in our communities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Define and execute an enterprise-wide data governance program, establishing frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure high data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance while aligning with organizational goals. Ensure data governance practices adhere to healthcare regulations and privacy laws and support audit readiness and risk mitigation efforts. Develop controls and monitoring to safeguard sensitive health information and respond to compliance audits or incidents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Compliance, Legal, Clinical, etc.) and data stewards to integrate data governance into all departments and data domains. Serve as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders to align data management practices with business needs and capabilities. Lead enterprise data quality initiatives by establishing data quality metrics and monitoring systems to ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable across systems. Oversee data cleansing, validation, and remediation processes to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues and improve overall data integrity. Evangelize data governance best practices through training and awareness programs, fostering a culture of data literacy and treating data as a strategic asset. Build a high-performing team of data governance professionals (e.g. data stewards, data analysts, data engineers) and guide them in executing governance policies and initiatives. Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication. Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System. Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to define a vision and strategy for enterprise data governance and to drive its execution across the organization.
  • Proven capability to align data governance initiatives with business objectives and gain executive buy-in for data programs.
  • Deep expertise in data management disciplines, including data quality, metadata management, master data management, and data privacy best practices.
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard data governance frameworks and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Strong understanding of information governance, data privacy, and risk management principles, with the ability to balance accessibility, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across departments.
  • Skilled at building consensus for technology initiatives and coordinating with clinical and business leaders to drive projects forward.
  • Proven skill in managing large-scale projects and driving change management in a healthcare setting.
  • Able to juggle multiple initiatives, ensure timely delivery while meeting quality standards, and guide the organization through technology changes and process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, with a focus on data governance or data management, is required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or information governance roles with a proven track record of building and leading data governance programs in an organization of comparable size or complexity; experience in post-acute, long-term care, or multi-entity healthcare environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and experience implementing compliance programs or policies that meet these standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, including experience in strategic planning, project management, and steering cross-functional committees or governance teams

Nice To Haves

  • an advanced degree, such as a Master’s (MBA, MIS, or equivalent), is highly preferred.
  • Certification in data management and governance practices is preferred.
