About The Position

The Vice President of Data and Analytics at 3M Company will oversee all aspects of the data and analytics (D&A) function. This role involves leading data scientists, analysts, and data engineers, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build data products and platforms. The goal is to enable business functions to derive and leverage data and insights for driving innovation, operational efficiency, and growth. The VP will develop and execute the D&A strategy, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals to facilitate data-driven decision-making and achieve business objectives. Additionally, the position includes defining and maintaining data architecture and infrastructure, contributing to the evolution of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) efforts, and managing a team of IT Directors, IT Senior Managers, and IT Specialists.

Requirements

  • Master of Business Administration required.
  • Eight years of experience in progressively responsible roles in Data, Analytics, and AI.
  • Experience translating D&A into actionable insights and business outcomes.
  • Experience with data management, data governance, and data architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing scalable data solutions.
  • Five years of experience with budgetary, profit and loss (P&L), or fiscal responsibility.
  • Experience in D&A functions and leading cross-functional D&A teams.
  • Progressive experience in project management and managing multiple large D&A initiatives.
  • Experience with relevant technologies and tools such as Machine Learning (ML), GenAI models, Snowflake, AWS, Azure data services, Power BI, and Databricks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture.

  • Pay range: $255,800 - $327,000 per year.
