For nearly 75 years, Qualstar Credit Union has helped members improve their financial lives. Today, we are financially strong, well-capitalized, and positioned for thoughtful, sustainable growth. Lending plays a central role in that success. As Vice President of Lending, you will lead strategy and performance across our lending operations, working closely with senior leadership to strengthen portfolio growth, member experience, and operational effectiveness. This role offers meaningful influence, strong collaboration with executive leadership, and the opportunity to help shape how lending supports our long-term goals. If you're seeking a leadership role where your experience can drive measurable results while supporting a purpose-driven mission, we'd love to meet you. You will provide leadership for our direct and indirect lending operations, including collections and debt recovery. Your focus will be to grow responsibly, manage risk effectively, and build scalable processes that support long-term performance. Working in partnership with the SVP of Lending and cross-functional leaders, you'll establish clear performance standards, elevate underwriting and collection practices, and leverage data to guide decisions. You'll champion continuous improvement-strengthening systems, technology platforms, and workflows to enhance both efficiency and the member experience. As our lending strategy evolves, there is opportunity to expand capabilities, including mortgage growth, under strong and thoughtful leadership. Above all, you will model Qualstar's Core Values-Service, Integrity, Purpose, Value, Respect, and Education-fostering accountability, collaboration, and professionalism within your teams. You are an experienced financial services leader who understands how to balance growth with discipline. You've led managers and operational teams within lending and collections and have delivered measurable improvements in portfolio performance. You bring strong knowledge of consumer lending, home equity, and debt recovery operations, along with regulatory requirements that govern them. Mortgage experience is strongly preferred, and you must be eligible for registration under the S.A.F.E. Act. You are comfortable using data to identify trends, manage credit risk, and communicate performance insights to senior leaders. You've led initiatives, implemented technology enhancements, and improved processes with accountability for results. Most importantly, you care about helping members build stronger financial futures.
