SUMMARY The Vice President of Compliance is responsible for leading the organizations compliance function and ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. This role provides strategic oversight of compliance operations and regulatory reporting across the companys affordable housing portfolio. The VP of Compliance develops and implements policies and procedures to maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations, including LIHTC, HUD, HOME, SAIL, BOND, SHIP, and NHTF programs. This leader fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and inclusivity across the organization. Working closely with executive leadership and operational teams, this individual proactively monitors regulatory changes, conducts audits, investigates potential violations, manages reasonable accommodation requests, and implements corrective actions as needed. This position requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, along with deep expertise in affordable housing compliance, Yardi systems, and Fair Housing laws. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position requires travel approximately 30% of the time to various properties within the assigned portfolio. Travel may include attending site visits, audits, training sessions, and industry seminars. Candidates should be prepared for potential overnight stays and flexible scheduling to accommodate travel needs. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential to balance travel commitments with office-based responsibilities. REMOTE WORK FLEXIBILITY This role primarily involves remote work, so candidates must be highly organized and efficient in managing their tasks. While working from home, its essential to maintain productivity and clear communication with the team. Flexibility in scheduling and self-motivation will be key to success in this position.
