About The Position

Vice President of Clinical Excellence Ivy Rehab Network (Outpatient Ortho Division) Remote (based out of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, or Southeast) The VP of Clinical Excellence at Ivy Rehab is a strategic leader who oversees Quality Improvement and Patient Safety/Quality Assurance and provides strategic oversight of clinical matters, ensuring that clinical priorities are aligned with operational strategy. This leader is responsible for defining standards of care, driving clinical innovation, and fostering a "Culture of Learning and Performance" across the enterprise. This role will report directly to our Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Requirements

  • Clinical background (PT, OT, SLP, BCBA, or similar) and degree required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of clinical leadership experience, preferably in an outpatient healthcare setting
  • Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating patient safety programs or related quality improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality improvement, performance improvement, operations, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience using improvement methodologies such as PDSA cycles, root cause analysis, and process redesign.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in tools such as Excel, and familiarity with quality metrics/KPIs
  • A strong people leader who will prioritize growing their internal team

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma or CPHQ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Improvement (QI) & Clinical Outcomes Strategy & Policy: Create and implement the overarching QI strategy and draft necessary clinical policies and teaching materials.
  • Operational Integration: "Build the train tracks" for QI and operations teams to deliver clinical excellence at the clinic level.
  • Data Analytics: Establish enterprise-wide metrics to drive desired clinical outcomes of quality, service, and patient experience; mine regional data to develop actionable plans for Regional Directors to execute.
  • Learning Culture: Establish forums and practices for collective learning within the organization for continuous quality improvement
  • Clinical Differentiation: Use evidence-based guidance established by the Clinical Council to differentiate Ivy Rehab in the market, creating the most desired place to give and receive care
  • Patient Safety & Quality Assurance System Oversight: Build and manage a robust reporting system for incident reports, "near misses," and harm events.
  • Risk Mitigation: Oversee root cause analysis (RCA), trend analysis, and the development of remedial action plans to address safety incidents.
  • Proactive Culture: Strengthen a proactive safety culture through auditing, annual training, and the implementation of the IHI Framework.
  • Clinical Council Partnership: Collaborative priority setting with field clinicians to define the "Ivy Way" for clinical care.
  • Metric Selection: Work with the Council to select discipline-specific metrics (e.g., Ortho, Pediatrics, ABA) that best characterize the impact of treatments.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coach functional leads within the three clinical pillars ensuring high performance and professional growth.
