About The Position

Our SelectLeaders client is a next generation real estate investment platform that develops, owns and operates modern infrastructure, including data centers, logistics and life science facilities. With multiple decades of investments in these sectors, they are a seasoned player experiencing rapid growth with the ongoing rise in demand for AI and warehouse automation. As a Vice President on our Capital Markets team, you will play a critical role in presenting, structuring, and executing capital solutions for the firm’s investments, while serving as a key liaison to existing and prospective Limited Partners. This position partners closely with the Acquisitions and Development teams to evaluate and underwrite investment opportunities and to lead the capitalization of transactions through both debt and equity channels, effectively translating investment strategy and deal-specific fundamentals into compelling investor-facing narratives. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of real estate finance and a proven track record of successfully executing transactions across a variety of commercial real estate assets, coupled with the ability to build credibility with LPs and maintain long-term investor relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
8+ years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets or private equity.
Demonstrated track record of underwriting investments and preparing investment materials to successfully capitalize investments.
Experience leading investor engagement and relationship management efforts, effectively positioning investment strategies, addressing LP concerns, and supporting capital raises.
Strong financial modeling skills, with expertise in Argus, Excel, and other valuation tools.
Deep understanding of capital structures, financing instruments, and partnership agreements.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance investor, lender, and company objectives.
Growth mindset with a collaborative and curious approach to problem-solving.

Experience with Data Center transactions preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead capital raising efforts from existing and new Limited Partner (LP) relationships.
Serve as a primary point of contact, leading investor communications, articulating the firm’s investment strategy, and addressing diligence questions and objections to support successful capital formation and long-term relationships.
Develop and deliver compelling investment presentations, offering memoranda, and supporting materials that clearly articulate the firm’s investment strategy, risk profile, and differentiated value proposition.
Effectively address LP questions and objections related to underwriting assumptions, market conditions, capital structure, and execution, reinforcing confidence in the firm’s strategy and track record.
Support the negotiation of equity terms and partnership agreements, ensuring alignment between LP expectations and the firm’s investment objectives.
Maintain strong relationships with existing investors and financial institutions.
Support the development of new LP capital relationships and partnerships through networking, roadshows and conferences.
Partner with the Acquisitions and Development teams to evaluate potential investments, including detailed financial modeling, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments.
Assess property-level cash flows, market dynamics, and asset-specific value drivers.
Provide a proposed capitalization strategy and structure.
