The Vice President of Administration provides strategic leadership for the organization’s administrative infrastructure and shared services functions to ensure reliable, scalable systems that support mission delivery and operational performance. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this role translates enterprise priorities into disciplined execution across operational support systems, organizational assets, and administrative services. The VP of Administration serves as the steward of infrastructure performance, asset management, and administrative efficiency across the organization’s service territory. (The portfolio of this role may include oversight of various administrative and operational support functions as determined by the Chief Administrative Officer and evolving organizational needs. Current areas of responsibility may include functions such as Facilities, Information Technology, Marketing, or other enterprise support services).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility in a multi-site environment overseeing multiple administrative functions.
  • Strong operational and systems-thinking capability.
  • Financial literacy with ability to evaluate infrastructure investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and growth.
  • Experience managing directors and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Infrastructure Leadership Provide strategic oversight for assigned administrative and shared service functions. Ensure operational systems and infrastructure effectively support organizational growth and service delivery. Establish performance standards and accountability measures across functions. Drive operational consistency across regions and operational environments.
  • Technology & Systems Enablement Provide oversight of enterprise technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems performance. Ensure technology investments support scalable service delivery and data-informed decision-making. Strengthen system reliability, user experience, and modernization efforts. Partner with finance and operations on technology investment planning.
  • Facilities & Organizational Asset Stewardship Lead facilities planning, asset management, and capital improvement initiatives as assigned. Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of physical locations. Align facility usage with program expansion, operational needs, and cost discipline objectives. Oversee vendor relationships and long-term infrastructure planning.
  • Communications, Marketing & Organizational Visibility Ensure consistent brand representation and organizational messaging. Align communications and marketing strategies with mission priorities and growth initiatives. Strengthen community visibility and stakeholder engagement. Support organizational initiatives through coordinated communication and outreach strategies.
  • Financial & Operational Discipline Develop and manage administrative budgets in partnership with finance leadership. Integrate cost discipline into infrastructure and operational support decisions. Evaluate ROI on major infrastructure, technology, or operational investments. Identify operational efficiencies and areas of potential risk exposure.
  • Risk Management & Compliance Proactively identify infrastructure and operational risks. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards. Maintain business continuity planning for critical systems and facilities.
  • Leadership & Team Development Develop and mentor leaders within assigned administrative functions. Build strong management bench strength. Promote cross-functional collaboration and solution-oriented leadership. Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and mission alignment.
