About The Position

Your Job: Responsible for the direction of nursing and other assigned departments to achieve safe, cost effective and quality patient care. Reports to the hospital President. Supports and promotes the vision, mission and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Your Job Requirements: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare/Business Administration required CAN or CNAA National Certification preferred Current Texas RN License required Five plus years CNO work experience Progressive administrative experience in an acute care hospital setting Requires highly developed communication both verbally and in writing Requires highly developed interpersonal skills with patients, families, visitors, doctors, STAFFnd coworkers Must be flexible and able to adapt to change Evidence of leadership, creativity and self-improvement Respects confidential nature of information Demonstrates understanding of MHD Guidelines and References Must be detailed minded Your Job Responsibilities: • Coordinates and facilitates the over all nursing care organizational plan consistent with hospital policies and objectives. • Coordinates and participates in the recruitment, development and retention of qualified personnel. • Directs Nursing Leadership and collaborates with other departments to improve patient and physician satisfaction • Measurement: Observation, Feedback and Patient and Physician survey results. • Coordinates and facilitates ongoing compliance with standards established by regulatory agencies. • Responsible for administration budget and monitoring of financial performance for assigned departments. • Coordinates and participates in long range planning for the provision of patient care and services. • Rotates administrative call with the Administrative Team and assumes administrative responsibility for the hospital in the absence of the Executive Vice President. • Collaborates with Peers and Executive Vice President to affect problem resolution or change in the organization processes, services and strategic goals. • Coordinates and facilitates the over all nursing care organizational plan consistent with hospital policies and objectives. • Coordinates and participates in the recruitment, development and retention of qualified personnel. • Directs Nursing Leadership and collaborates with other departments to improve patient and physician satisfaction. • Coordinates and facilitates ongoing compliance with standards established by regulatory agencies. • Is responsible for administration budget and monitoring of financial performance for assigned departments. • Coordinates and participates in long range planning for the provision of patient care and services. • Rotates administrative call with the Administrative Team. • Collaborates with peers and hospital President to affect problem resolution or change in the organization processes, services and strategic goals. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare/Business Administration required
  • Current Texas RN License required
  • Five plus years CNO work experience
