About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Java / Scala Dev in Alpharetta, GA. The role involves creating highly optimized, scalable, and distributed software. Responsibilities include delivering manageable, modular code and automated tests, performing code reviews on server-side code, releasing and maintaining code, addressing production issues, writing unit tests, and designing and implementing technical systems using server-side technologies. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Technology Lead, Technology Analyst, System Engineer, or a related occupation.
• Five (5) years of experience with Java 8.
• Experience in OO Design and Programming.
• Experience in Distributed Architecture Design.
• Experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience with Messaging framework with Kafka OR Messaging framework with IBM IQ.
• Experience in multithreaded programming and concurrency.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience in developing and building high volume systems.
• Experience in building REST based services integration.
• Experience with JIRA, GIT, Jenkins OR Teamcity.
• Experience with IBM Business Process Management (BPM).
• Experience with Kubernates/Docker.
