The Vice President, Capital Markets & Corporate Strategy partners directly with the CEO to advance corporate‑level strategy, step‑out initiatives, and strategic growth opportunities. This role is designed to complement capital markets execution and investment underwriting by providing senior‑level strategic insight, partner alignment, and market‑clearing perspective. The VP will play a central role in shaping and advancing non‑standard initiatives, supporting senior investor engagement, and driving cross‑functional coordination across Investments, Finance, Development, Legal, and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 8 – 12 years of progressive experience in real estate private equity, capital markets, principal investing, or a sponsor-backed operating platform.
  • Demonstrated experience leading corporate-level strategic initiatives, partnerships, or step-out/non-traditional investment structures requiring executive-level stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of JV and partnership structures, with sufficient depth to assess marketability, governance, and execution feasibility.
  • Proven experience working with institutional capital partners and strategic sponsors.
  • Exceptional execution communication skills, with credibility in senior investor, board, and partner environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action through structured problem solving, decision support, and disciplined follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred, but not required, particularly for candidates with strong institutional experience or demonstrated strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO to originate and advance step-out and strategic initiatives, including identifying opportunities, shaping the approach, and aligning internal stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic options for non-standard initiatives and advise on partner fit, structure feasibility, and the path to execution.
  • Identify step-out candidates early and shape the win plan, including partner strategy, positioning, and governance considerations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive step-out initiatives through diligence, approvals, and execution, ensuring tight coordination across Investments, Finance, Development, Legal, and Operations.
  • Provide strategic input into capital markets decisions by assessing market clearing conditions, structure feasibility, and partner constraints on strategic deals and step-outs.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team with market intelligence and investor perspectives that improve decision quality and execution readiness.
  • Participate in Investment Committee discussions to present step-out strategy, partner fit, and market-clearing insight as an input to decisions.
  • Own step-out and strategic partnership development, with emphasis on senior-level relationship building and conversion in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investor relations with TPG and Lennar, including executive coordination, alignment on strategic initiatives, and consistent messaging as needed.
  • Support investor relations for step-out initiatives by deepening senior engagement and ensuring alignment on goals, structure, and strategic rationale.
  • Lead commercial diligence for step-outs, including narrative, partner alignment, and decision support.
  • Drive senior-level alignment through step-out closings, ensuring economics, governance, and strategic intent remain intact through documentation and close.
  • Monitor strategic partnership health for step-outs and elevate issues, risks, and opportunities to the CEO with recommended actions.
