About The Position

The Vice President of Investment Banking - Healthcare will lead teams of Associates and Analysts in providing financing and advisory services to clients, as well as creating and preparing presentation and pitch materials. This role involves mentoring, coaching, and assisting in the development of Associates and Analysts in the Consumer & Retail Group. The Vice President will manage and execute tasks that encompass comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses, analyze financial statements and operating metrics of public companies within the Retail & Apparel sector to generate industry insights, and act as a trusted advisor to clients through relationship development, industry knowledge, and capital markets expertise. The position requires a thorough understanding of trends and competitive dynamics within the sector, as well as the financial impact of decisions on the client's organization. The Vice President will coordinate organizational resources to deliver product solutions and advice to clients, maintain frequent communications with team members and product partners, and eventually assume origination responsibilities in line with the strategic direction of the Consumer & Retail Group. This includes identifying and calling on prospects, creating, analyzing, and presenting actionable ideas, and originating new client mandates. The role also involves ongoing participation in the identification and recruitment of potential new hire candidates for the Consumer & Retail Group and other franchise-building activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of investment banking experience.
  • Relevant client interaction and transaction experience in the Consumer & Retail industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deal teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with attention to detail.
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or Liberal Arts; MBA preferred but not required.
  • Series 7 license.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $250,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for short-term incentive compensation.
  • Deferred incentive compensation subject to performance.
