About The Position

The Vice President of Innovation is responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformation through four strategic pillars: Process Engineering, Program Management, Change Management, and Innovation with Artificial Intelligence Enablement. Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Performance Improvement Officer, this role drives initiatives that optimize operational efficiency, eliminate waste, and deliver measurable improvements through Lean Process and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. The Vice President fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring that new ideas are systematically evaluated and implemented to enhance organizational performance. This position also provides governance for artificial intelligence initiatives, ensuring ethical and responsible deployment of emerging technologies while promoting a forward-thinking, collaborative environment. By integrating process discipline with creative innovation, this role positions the airport as a global leader in operational excellence and human-centered design.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, technology management, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Candidates must have at least ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in innovation, process improvement, and organizational transformation within a complex environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives, manage budgets, and oversee vendor relationships is essential, along with experience driving technology adoption and cultural change.
  • Supervisory experience and a track record of building high-performing teams are required.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Lean and Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with the ability to lead complex process improvement initiatives and deliver organizational training programs
  • Strong capability in program management, including governance, prioritization, and execution of innovation initiatives across multiple departments
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise-wide change management, with proven strategies for stakeholder engagement and cultural transformation
  • Advanced expertise in artificial intelligence, including the ability to design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions and intelligent agents to optimize processes and transform enterprise operations
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate data and ideas into actionable strategies
  • Proven leadership in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while building and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent
