About The Position
This role reports to the Head of Operations & Infrastructure and is responsible for leading a Distributed Systems Engineering and Architecture teams globally. The team is responsible for architecture and engineering of hardware and software for compute, storage and the software that supports them including virtualization, containers, automation and infrastructure as code. The team has the responsibility for designing, deploying and managing solutions throughout their full system lifecycle. In this role you will be accountable for designing and building innovative infrastructure solutions to support a massively scaled and high throughput environment in both private and public cloud datacenters. The position interacts with senior leadership within Visa and with a diverse set of vendors. You will drive key technology, platform and tooling decisions balancing technical, practical and application considerations. Extensive experience managing engineering teams as a hands on technical leader is a must. We are looking for a strong, passionate, seasoned, and innovative technology leader who will be a part of the Technology Leadership team and work collaboratively across Visa with different stakeholders to deliver commercial services to our clients. This is an incredibly senior and transformational role, and one of autonomy and next generation thinking.
