About The Position

The Vice President of Information Technology provides enterprise technology leadership for Diversus Health, ensuring technology enables high-quality, compliant, secure, and efficient care delivery. Reporting to the Chief Digital and Innovation Officer (CDIO), this executive leads IT strategy, delivery, and operations across clinical and business technology, and serves as a key member of the executive leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related equivalent experience required.
  • Progressive IT leadership experience with demonstrated accountability for enterprise applications, infrastructure/operations, and security in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Proven experience leading and developing managers and senior technical leaders; ability to build high-trust, high-performance teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering technology roadmaps, large-scale implementations, and operational excellence using disciplined project/program and portfolio management practices.
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leaders, clinical and operational stakeholders, and technical teams; skilled at translating between business outcomes and technology solutions.

  • Experience overseeing an EHR and clinical application ecosystem, including documentation, scheduling, billing/RCM workflows, and interoperability.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare privacy and security expectations (e.g., HIPAA/HITECH) and experience partnering with Compliance, Privacy, and Legal teams.
  • Experience in high-growth environments including mergers, acquisitions, and technology integration.
  • Experience supporting data and analytics needs for quality measurement, accreditation readiness, payer reporting, and value-based care initiatives where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic technology leader on the executive leadership team, advising on technology risks, investments, and opportunities that advance organizational mission and growth.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into a multi-year IT roadmap spanning clinical systems, digital platforms, analytics, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Establish and lead IT governance for demand intake, prioritization, architecture standards, change control, and value realization (benefits tracking).
  • Own IT financial management including annual budgeting, forecasting, vendor spend optimization, and total cost of ownership (TCO) management.
  • Ensure high-performing IT operating model with clear service ownership, tiered support, incident/problem management, and measurable service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Lead enterprise vendor management (selection, contracting partnership, performance) including EHR and key managed service providers.
  • Develop and mentor a leadership team across applications, data/analytics, EHR, security, and infrastructure, drive talent acquisition, succession planning, and staff development.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement using metrics (uptime, response times, delivery, security posture) and regular executive reporting.
  • Provide executive oversight for the full IT portfolio—EHR and clinical systems, enterprise applications, data and analytics platforms, cybersecurity, and infrastructure/end-user services—to enable safe, reliable, and efficient care delivery.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to prioritize initiatives; improve user experience and workflow efficiency; and ensure successful adoption through change management and training.
  • Ensure interoperability and integration across the technology ecosystem (interfaces/APIs), data quality, and appropriate role-based access to sensitive information.
  • Establish and monitor service performance targets (availability, response time, incident management) for patient-care and business-critical systems.
  • Ensure privacy, security, and compliance expectations are met (including healthcare requirements such as HIPAA/HITECH where applicable), and maintain tested disaster recovery/business continuity capabilities.
  • Lead vendor and contract management for strategic platforms and managed service partners; drive standardization, lifecycle management, and cost optimization.
