About The Position

The Vice President of Human Resources at Sheppard Pratt will lead the HR team in developing innovative, people-centered solutions that enhance organizational culture and ensure compliance with regulations. This executive role involves strategic HR leadership, culture development, compliance management, and team leadership, all aimed at supporting employees and aligning HR initiatives with the organization's goals.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in human resource administration, business administration, law, or closely related field and 7 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in Human Resources with a strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws and best HR practices.
  • Demonstrated success in driving DEI, culture, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and team building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Lead a team focused on fair and consistent employee relations practices.
  • Oversee competitive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including employees, applicants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage the HRIS to ensure data integrity and leverage analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Champion a positive, inclusive organizational culture rooted in the organization's mission and values.
  • Design and implement employee engagement strategies to foster connection and belonging.
  • Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to ensure equitable hiring, retention, and promotion.
  • Oversee leadership development and talent growth programs to empower the workforce.
  • Develop and enforce policies that align with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and labor regulations.
  • Conduct audits and oversee reporting to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
  • Mentor and manage a high-performing HR team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Provide expert consultation to managers on employee concerns and organizational development.
