About The Position

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a field related to the position.
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Broad knowledge of complex disciplines represented in departments and of the laws and regulations pertaining to services provided by the departments.
  • Minimum five (5) years of strategic leadership experience developing and enhancing care delivery programs, business development and management, and developing leaders and effective care teams within a large, complex organization.

Nice To Haves

  • 7 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years Pediatric Cardiac Care Management experience.
  • Certified by ACHE and/or MGMA.
  • Experience in an academic practice environment.
  • Experience in Toyota Production System or Lean Methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic planning and establishing relationships for the Heart Institute.
  • Manage system-wide Heart Institute business including inpatient, ambulatory, and diagnostic services.
  • Accountable for assessment, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Ensure quality care is provided to patients in accordance with organizational, professional, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership and participate in continuous performance improvement activities throughout the Institute.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with clinical standards and staff competency.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate services to ensure sustained improvements in quality, cost, delivery, safety, engagement, and family experience in all clinical sites.
  • Strategize and collaborate with physicians, hospital and clinical leaders, and other stakeholders to develop, implement, and operationalize initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Accountable for the planning, development, provision, and continuous improvement of all patient care services within the Institute.
