About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Vice President of Global Logistics to lead our global logistics function in addition to leading the transformation of the US Distribution network. This leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Global Logistics Operations, Global Transportation, the Global Logistics Center of Excellence (CoE), and for shaping and executing a next-generation U.S. Distribution Strategy aligned with our company's growth trajectory. As a core member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, this role demands a visionary executive with deep distribution operational expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the capability to scale logistics operations with a growth and innovative mindset, in a highly regulated environment.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Global Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing large global teams, including hourly workforce.
  • Direct involvement in managing supply chains subject to FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Proven track record in leading global distribution centers and networks and designing future-ready global distribution strategies in a fast-growing business environment.
  • Exposure to managing logistics and supply chain functions across multiple regions or countries.
  • Experienced in the selection and rollout of major supply chain technology platforms (ERP, WMS, TMS).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management.
  • Certifications are a plus (APICS CSCP, CPIM, ISM CPSM).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and operational execution of global logistics functions, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive logistics optimization and transformation by implementing industry best practices, standardization for warehouse automation and WMS, and continuous improvement initiatives across regions.
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap for Global Transportation, including ocean, air, ground, and last-mile logistics, optimizing cost, speed, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure and drive supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all international trade laws, FDA/ISO regulations, and local logistics requirements.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including carbon footprint reduction and responsible sourcing in logistics.
  • Integrate or consolidate supply chain operations post Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Architect the future U.S. Distribution network to support accelerated growth, omnichannel capabilities, and evolving customer needs.
  • Oversee the performance of U.S. distribution centers, including automation, workforce planning, inventory management, and fulfillment.
  • Lead global distribution infrastructure planning, including warehouse site selection, 3PL strategy, and technology deployment.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing, inclusive, and globally distributed logistics team.
  • Collaborate with other functions like Manufacturing, Regulatory, R&D, Capital Equipment, Customer Care, commercial operations, planning, procurement, etc.
  • Represent logistics and distribution priorities in executive forums and strategic planning sessions.
  • Influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, global partners and vendors across the business.
  • Lead organizational transformation via Change Management & Organizational Design.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and automation to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Identify and deploy advanced digital solutions to improve visibility, performance, efficiency, resilience and customer experience.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to streamline workflows and enhance operational performance.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for logistics and supply chain activities, ensuring cost-effective operations that align with corporate financial goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key financial metrics, recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the supply chain, including capacity constraints, quality issues, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors.
  • Develop robust business continuity and contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted operations and product availability.
