About The Position

Nexstar Media Inc., America’s largest local broadcasting company, is seeking a Vice President and General Manager to lead its media properties in Providence, Rhode Island (DMA #52). The General Manager will have full oversight of Nexstar’s operations at WPRI (CBS/MyNet) and will oversee its operational agreement with Mission Broadcasting providing services to WNAC (Fox/CW) through an SSA, as well as wpri.com, and all other digital, mobile and social media assets for the stations. Our stations serve viewers in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our award-winning news teams are market leaders with in-depth and investigative local coverage. Requirements

• Minimum of three years of GM experience at a broadcast television station.
• Proven history of audience growth and revenue achievement.
• Strong track record of managing high-performing sales and news teams.
• Exemplary strategic vision and focused execution.
• Effective collaboration with department heads and staff members.

• Experience in local broadcasting and digital service advocacy.
• Understanding of financial expenses related to broadcasting.
