About The Position
HomeSafe Alliance is seeking a highly skilled executive leader for the Vice President Freight, Global Household Goods Military Moving Services to manage and optimize military household goods shipments in the lower 48 Continental United States (CONUS). This role is pivotal in leading all efforts in freight analysis and non-traditional services, assisting in purchasing and optimizing all modes of freight other than traditional moving services. The modes can include Full truck load, less than truck load, rail, and ocean opportunities. The Vice President will also assist in Domestic, International, and air freight and support all operational and commercial teams. The position requires continuous process improvement of HomeSafe domestic military household goods shipments optimization, partnering with the VP of Domestic and International for successful execution and margin expansion. The VP will implement LEAN operating tools and techniques to ensure cost controls, on-time pickup and delivery, safety, improve customer satisfaction survey ratings, and instill positive employee relations. Additionally, the role is responsible for achieving Global Household Goods Contract (GHC), Performance Work Statement (PWS), and Contract Deliverable Requirements List performance measures. The Vice President will oversee the domestic Household Goods CONUS Operations financial Profit & Loss performance to the annual budget for Revenue, Operating Income, and Margin. Collaboration with Transportation Service Provider business leaders across the HomeSafe domestic CONUS military household goods enterprise is essential to increase military household goods movement capacity and customer satisfaction levels. The role also involves identifying and developing cost avoidance and cost savings business case opportunities to drive revenue growth, improve efficiencies, and enhance the quality of service for the customer. Furthermore, the VP will develop strategic relationships with Household Goods Moving Service Provider companies while ensuring scalability and conformance with HomeSafe performance standards, and will be responsible for developing, coaching, and mentoring military household goods moves employees.
