Accountabilities · The Vice President of FP&A is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This includes leading the finance team, providing strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The Vice President of Finance works closely with other senior leaders to support business decisions, maintain financial stability, and drive growth. This position requires expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Strong background in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and driving financial results.
  • Deep knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Expertise with financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to set company financial goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of financial strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Develop and manage financial models to support decision-making and business planning.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to the executive team.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company’s financial health and growth.
  • Assess and manage financial risks related to investments, debt, and market conditions.
  • Oversee insurance, credit, and investment strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department.
  • Ensure effective financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that financial reports comply with legal regulations and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies for audits and assessments.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead or oversee financial due diligence, analysis, and integration of potential mergers or acquisitions.
  • Develop and evaluate investment opportunities, including capital expenditures and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive financial and operational efficiencies within the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and financial innovation.
